This post is a link to my blog post I did on Anxiety, My Dark Unwanted Passenger called Suicide isn't painless, it just passes the pain to others I have seen WAY too many deaths from suicide lately, WAY too many drug overdoses, WAY too many mental break downs, all because because we don't take mental illnesses serious enough, and those with it are so afraid of the stigma they just give up. I do not understand why people get so upset when they see a man and woman together who have other partners. When I asked why this is so taboo I am told, "well, what will people think, it just looks bad." What looks bad, me being a friend? Me spending time with someone who's company I enjoy? So just because the friend is a different biological makeup than me, if I am alone with them there must be something sexual going on? How low is your opinion of me that you might see me with a woman who isn't my wife, and your first thought is that I am cheating? Really? Your first thought is that if a man and woman are together without their partners they must be up to no good? Do you really have that low self control over yourself? Do you really not think a man and a woman can JUST be friends? Come out of the dark ages and realize that the more you push that, the more of a self fulfilling prophecy it becomes. I am so sick of reading articles online that quote sources without actually quoting anyone at all. Let's give an example from an article I was reading today. The article was explaining why teaching Children about Christianity at a young age is not brainwashing. (I have been doing a TON of research into Christianity as of late, but that is a whole other topic and not what this post is about.) The author writes this as the second paragraph in the article ( source ): "Educators and other “experts” who embrace  evolution  declare that children taught to reject an evolutionary worldview will never understand the world around them. Many say that such children will be academic failures. Children will grow up to be unproductive citizens of the modern world, these experts warn, if they do not accept molecules-to-man  evolution  over millions of years as fact." Now here is a perfect example of what bugs me, no where in here is there anything to back up the authors claims...

So I keep seeing people try to have conversations about why people think a fast food worker deserves $15/hr, and it always spirals out of control quickly. I am here to say that I agree with them, but not that they deserve $15/hr, they deserve a raise appropriate to inflation. I believe that the problem isn't how much millennials  make per hour, but how far $1 goes. $1 went MUCH further for baby boomers than it does for millennials  once you factor in inflation, and I'll prove it. I keep hearing how baby boomers worked more for less, however that is ONLY when you don't take inflation into account, and you MUST take inflation into account if you want to be honest about what's going on. See, once you factor in inflation, baby boomers actually worked less for more. That's not an opinion of mine, that is fact. Why is the press allowed to paraphrase and spin things the direction they want with no recourse when they spin it in a way that goes against the facts? Why do we read news that is proven to have a spin and not just have the facts given to us? Are we that incapable for coming up with our own opinions that we need the news to give us our opinion? If you read the facts on a situation, you should be able to figure out how it relates to you, and where you want to go from there with it. You shouldn't need some journalist (and I use that term very loosely with today's media) telling you how YOU should feel about something. You shouldn't need the media to tell you what you believe and how to think. You are your own mind, your own beliefs, and your own ability to reason, right? So why do we allow just obvious corruption in our media? So yes, another post on the train of getting along. And yes, there will probably be a ton more posts on her about getting along. Although yes, I am sure you will get quite sick of them. However yes, you're right that I don't care if you're sick of them. Because yes, if the world is still hating on each other then I will keep harping on it. I watched a video today from a Christian comedian that I found funny. It was a woman who was telling other women the five questions they should never ask their husband. Judging by her words and the crowds reaction I am guessing she was at a conference for conservatives. She does a whole ten or so minute spiel on how there are five questions that women should never ask men. She was polite about it, the crowd laughed, and everyone had a great time. Are you aware, that even though there are differences biologically between Men and Women, neither are biologically inferior to the other? Are you aware, that even though the physiology of Men and Women are different, neither one is superior to the other? Are you aware, that even though Men and Women serve different purposes for reproduction, both are just as necessary for life to continue? I can't seem to get passed my desire to be my own person lately. The only problem is that if I open up about who I really am, there are so many people who wont like it because I am not what they expect me to be. Partly because it doesn't exactly match how I was raised, and partly because I learned over the years to be a chameleon and blend into my surroundings. So it didn't matter who I really was I just fit into the background and went with the crowd. It's led to some of the best and worst memories I've ever had. Being a chameleon means that often you let life pass you by because you're too afraid to draw attention to yourself and have people catch on to the real you. It means giving people only glimpses of who you really are, then letting them extrapolate from there. Hey, you..... Yeah you...... Guess what? Chicken Butt. Did you laugh? Did you giggle? Did you find it childish? Did you find it dumb? Did you find it beneath you? Why? Why do we call humor like that childish humor? Do we really mean that it is humor that only a child would find funny? Or do we really mean it is humor that is beneath us as adults? I find it funny, every single time my 6 year old does that joke I laugh. I don't fake laugh to keep him happy, I honest to God laugh it. Most don't laugh, he does do the joke every single time I talk to him, without fail. However, I still laugh every single time because he always laughs at it, and because he is getting better and better at timing it. I am getting really tired of all the hatred in the world. Not just the hatred, but more the inability to accept that people are different from you and move on. How many times do you look at a conversation on social media and see people attacking people who believe differently than them about the fact that they believe differently. You have conservatives saying all liberals are bleeding heart snowflakes who need to suck it up and deal. You have liberals saying all conservatives are heartless jerks who don't care about anyone below them. You have Atheists saying that all religious people are brainwashed sheeple who are trying to destroy science. You have religious people saying that all Atheists are evil and are trying to plunge the world into immorality. You have every religion claiming every other religion was created by their version of evil to distract you from the truth. I move to remove the phrase "common courtesy" from the English dialogue. When courtesy is no longer the norm, we can no longer refer to it as "common courtesy". Want to know what happened to "common courtesy"? The fact that when late baby boomers and early to mid Gen X'ers started having kids they rebelled against any form of punishment dolled out by their parents and decided to try being friends with their children not parents. You don't have to hit your child to make them behave, HOWEVER, you do have to punish for wrong doing, and you do have to follow through when you threaten punishment. Otherwise you raise a child who believes that there are no real consequences for their actions, and thus "common courtesy" doesn't exist because they just don't care.
