I'm done with them....

I'm done. I'm done with being doubted, with people second guessing my genuine good nature, with being ignored until needed, with everyone looking at the distant past to judge me rather than who I am now and my recent past. I am done taking flack for everything and not standing up for myself or for who I am. So many people tell me that the past speaks for itself, that I am nothing more than the sum of my experience, they are right. However, they are forgetting that it goes both ways. The way you treated me in the past, the way you continue to treat me, that is the sum of who you are in my mind. That is how you shall be treated from now on. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, I give everyone so many chances, way more than they ever give me. That stops today. No more chances, no more selfless acts of kindness for people that put me down and never acknowledge what I've done, or how far I've come. I am not a charity, nor am I a charity case. Don't force your beliefs, show your beliefs

Your job is not to FORCE the world to follow your beliefs, your job is to live your life so they WANT to follow your beliefs. This country has made me ashamed to say I believe in the Christian GOD. Friend of mine made a good point, Christians are intended to be a lighthouse to the world, to guide by example. Instead we are throwing fits and making laws that are forcing people to live our way. Christians are turning more and more people away from GOD in a desperate attempt to not lose followers. In an attempt to not be oppressed, Christians have become the oppressors. Pretty sure that's the opposite of what Christ taught. We are to love ALL of humankind, regardless of who they are or what they believe. Christ didn't despise sinners and force them to change, he loved them all and lived in a way to make them want to follow.

Why keep your filters on?

We all see the world through a filter, regardless of who we are. We all have a filter built by our upbringing and what we surround ourselves with. This filter shows us the world different from others and how their filters work. The problem with filters is that you don't get to see the whole picture, only what fits through the filter. It is our job to expand our world, expand our surrounds, expand our mind, and remove as much filter as we can, so we can see the world for what it truly is. A world that is crumbling, falling apart, ready to implode on itself. We live in a world of such amazing progress and technology and acceptance, and yet we still have a world filled with corruption and poverty and hatred. We live in a world that uses sex and fear to sell you on others ideals. We live in a world where the worst killings and atrocities are done in the name of religions that are supposed to teach love and acceptance. We live in a world where so many famous people are useless wastes o...
